How does Exilis Skin Tightening and Body Sculpting Work?

The Exilis system at Ocean Med Spa uses radiofrequency technology. Specialized, safe electrical energy is delivered via the Exilis handpiece to your skin. A grounding pad, usually placed on the patient’s back during the treatment, ensures safe delivery of the RF waves. During treatment, radiofrequency energy flows from the treatment tip to the skin, warming the skin to approximately 42 to 44 degrees Celsius. At this temperature, collagen undergoes a fundamental structural change. Over a period of weeks to months following treatment, new collagen growth is encouraged, leading to improvement in skin texture, laxity, and even the reduction of wrinkles.

Exilis treatments at Ocean Med Spa can postpone or eliminate the need for invasive surgery particularly for patients with mild to moderate fat deposits and who may not be candidates for liposuction surgery.
